Given that I know the area so well, I’m very pleased to support the association known as PACTE (Promotion des Activités Culturelles de Tourtoirac et des Environs), which for a number of years has been at the heart of cultural events here.
2024 again promises to be a remarkable year, with at least thirty musical and artistic concerts and shows, ten of which will be held in places of significant historic value, such as Montignac, Thiviers, Badefois d’Ans, Thenon, Le Lardin Saint Lazare, Excideuil, Sorges, Hautefort or, of course, Tourtoirac. Most of these events are free, though it goes without saying that all voluntary contributions are welcome !
The months of July and August will be especially busy, filled with a series of concerts and artistic collaborations, to include Irish, American, and classical music, and plays, alongside other mouthwatering surprises.
Laugh with the comedy show presented by Vincent Nadal and Laure Weisdorf; Travel with Quentin Vestur and his Celtic harp, with the sounds of traditional music from Brittany and Ireland; Discover the repertoire of singer Kerry Javorka; Dream the night away with the trio of romantic guitars and cello during a gourmet cocktail; Let yourself be carried away into the theatre season provided by the Compagnons d’Ulysse at the Château de Peyraux; Stroll through the Château de Tourtoirac with Charline Benhamou and Lou Collin; Rediscover the great classical and baroque works at the auditorium and the abbey of Tourtoirac.
